Slough vs Cardiff Junior Devils

Cardiff Junior Devils under 10s team took their first away trip of the season on Sunday 21st September. Travelling to Slough for a X-ice tournament, the team faced stiff competition against Slough, Basingstoke and Solent & Gosport under 10s teams.

Several players were icing in their first away match for the junior Devils, and Jay Jones was playing in his very first ice hockey match. The junior Devils were a few players short of their full team, and were very grateful for the services of borrowed Basingstoke players Paul and George, who played with gusto in their borrowed Devils shirts.

Iwan Davies showed that his recent hat trick against Swindon was no fluke by scoring again, while Jacob Burt was in top form scoring three goals in two matches.

Under 10s net-minder Jake Roberts worked hard between the pipes to make some impressive saves, well supported by Lewis Davies, Iwan Williams, Ethan Jones, Max Roberts and Cael James.

The under 10s travel to Swindon for their second X-ice of the season next Saturday 27th September, where three of their newest players will ice for the first time in a Devils shirt.
