Jack Randall, Owen Griffiths and Callum Buglass (Cardiff under 12 players) travelled to Geleen in Holland last week to take part in a 2 day tournament with the South West Conference under 11’s team.

Teams from Holland, Belgium and the Isle of Wight took part in what turned out to be a hugely successful tournament for the South West team.

The team claimed a clean sweep on the first day winning all four games against their Dutch and Belgium counterparts including a 1-0 win against the hosts Geleen. On the final day the South West team again started with a win which put them into the Semi finals. Amsterdam were their opponents for this and again the South West team turned on the style winning 4-1.

A final date with Leuven (Belgium) now awaited the team and it turned out to be a game to far for the team as a much older and stronger Leuven team ran out 2-0 winners. This was a truly great performance from the South West team who played a superb passing game throughout the weekend in which the 3 boys from Cardiff played a big part. Well done boys you did yourselves and the club very proud!!
