Cardiff Dragons - End of Season Presentation 2007/2008

Cardiff Junior Ice Hockey Club held their end of season awards night on Saturday 28th at Llanishen Leisure Centre.

It was a chance for players, parents and club officials to have a fun, entertaining evening after a hard but successful season.

Special guests from the Devils organisation were on hand to help present the awards to the juniors, Matt Burge (and his family), Neil Francis and Brent Pope attended and gave their time to talk to the players and parents.


Each player received a trophy for their part in making the season a great one and then individual awards were handed out to players in each team. Individual awards were given for Most Improved Player and Player of the Year. Awards were voted for by club coaches, managers and our Director of Hockey.

Under 10's:
Most Improved Player: Max Roberts
Player of the Year: Owen Bradshaw

Under 12's:
Most Improved Player: Thomas Sperring
Player of the Year: Tom Parkinson

Under 14's:
Most Improved Player: Joe Morris
Player of the Year: Daniel Mann

Under 16's:
Most Improved Player: Johan Hennius
Player of the Year:Rhys Thomas

Under 18's:
Most Improved Player: Stefan Joseph
Player of the Year: Chris Jones

Each year the club also give an award to the person who has made a significant contribution to the club, this year the Clubman award went to player and coach Jon Oliver

Jon plays ENL but also gives his time to train the juniors, he is currently coach to the under 10's, helps with the under 12's and the Learn to Play Program.

After the awards were handed out and a bite to eat was had, players and parents took part in a fun casino to round off the night.
